The NeverLands

“The NeverLands” is our epilogue to a 10 year trip. It’s our 4th official album, written, performed & produced in 2008.
The sounding is more nostalgic as well as ambient oriented & experimental in many ways. Some up-tempo tracks are included in order to keep the bridge between “mind tripping” and “body moving”. The majority of tracks are “transformed” in the middle, so listen to the whole trip before arriving to The NeverLands…
As mentioned above, a decade has pasted since we’ve completed our first album (Blue Trees, 7 Miles). Our overall discography is here on Jamendo, which gave us the opportunity to share our sound with the public.
This is the end of the journey… at least for now.

StrangeZero were formed in 1998
Io-V and Stelios met in 1984. In 1990 and at the age of 12 they started writing music under various names (Pyromaniacs, Effector etc) using just a sampler and an amiga 500. They recorded rain sounds and sounds from the places they travelled to, combined with breakbeats, acid tunes and guitars. In many tracks they used vocals and all these tracks still exist in audio tape (!!), MD & DCC….
After some years Stelios worked as a radio producer while Io-v went off to Beograd to study medicine. They met again in 1998-9, when they decided to start an electronica band.
The band name “StrangeZero” basically came out to give a meaning to all minorities, usually referred to as “Zero’s“, and explain that a ZERO can become something when it’s strange…it can have an identity…
Influenced by old HartHouse rec days, strong acid 303 trips and experimental ambient sounds, they created their own sounding. Experimenting with all kind of music kinds, they released 4 albums and 1 EP here on Jamendo while in parallel they released some of their tracks on various commercial CD’s by Sony BMG and TSOE and wrote music for various documentaries.
Having performed 5 live conerts in Greece, they are preparing for the last one in 2009.
